Understanding the story


Headlines of the day:
1)      Introduction: (10 minutes)
2)      Group work (60 minutes)
3)      Short quiz(10 minutes) – location of words (verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbials into figures)
4)      Performances / presentations (10 minutes)

The the class was divided into 5 different groups where each group should have this sentence in mind:
Try to find the characteristics in Hemingway’s style of writing. How is his style different from other things you have read?

Group one: (did not performance)

Rewrite the story into a fairytale.

Group two: (did not performance)

Write an article about what happens in the story

Group three:

Change the story into a cartoon.

Group four:

Write two songs:
1.       Where the plot is presented (in the style of an old folk-song)
2.       Relating to the themes you find in the story

Group five:

Write the summary into a play and perform.
