Ernest Hemingway


Ernest Hemningway (1889-1961) was an America author and journalist, whose profession was to convince the reader about a specific topic – often dealing with fiction, economy and understatement, which

Some people do not see Ernest Hemningway as a genre author, but some would claim that he writes in fiction, economy and understatement.
He received the Nobel Prize in 1954 The Old man and the Sea, for its influence that he has exerted on his contemporary style

Unfortunately he committed suicide in 1961, caused to his depressions and sicknesses. He did therefore suffer from psychical and mental sickness but also from physical sicknesses

Some special of Hemningway’s novels to mention is
·         The Sun also Rises (a good book, which represents the Lost Generation)
·         The Snow of Kilimanjaro
·         Men Without Women

Another famous title of his books is: “For whom the Bell Tolls”
The book was written to the Spanish civil war. It was meant to show an anti-fascistic picture.
Another great mentioned book is “In Our Time” from 1925 , which is a collection of short stories.
