Ernest Hemingway- his life

Ernest Hemingway was an American journalist and author who lived and worked during the world wars and after conflicts period (birth: 1899, death: 1961).
He got often involved in war situations, during his many travels around the world. Out of his travels he collected hundreds of experiences, of which he wrote about as a reporter and as a writer and poet.
The ideals expressed in his literature were influenced by modernist writers and artists known as the lost generation.
His writing was clear and his style was mainly characterized by the ‘ice-berg theory’. In his telling, he focused on the people he told about, describing their feelings and action.
He received a Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954 and his novel ‘The Old Man and the Sea’ won the Pulitzer Prize in 1953.

Many of his works have become classics in American literature. What most inspired the writers who came after him was the style of his writing.
